All 12 of my grand kids fish, The youngest was 6 months will sitting in his stroller his mother had a bite, but was busy getting a bottle for him and couldn't get to her pole and ask me for help. The little one wasn't doing anything but whinning for his bottle. I pick up her pole and had a great idea. I told the grandson, "your not doing any thing but making noise and scaring the fish away. I handed him the pole with mud all over the handle and told him to catch his mother's fish. He caught his first fish that day and has been fishing ever since on land and his dad's platoon boat. He told his granma the other day he was going with his dad to Trinidad Lake to catch Walleye, Perch, Bass, Catfish and Trout. Charlie was 3 yrs old and already can out fish me.

His brother who was born a premie at 16 oz 24 wks , stay in neonatal intesive care for 4-6 weeks, has cerebral palsy and behind 18 month was extremly happy when he got to tell me he caught his first fish and had a new fishing pole. HE WAS SO PROUD THAT HE STARTED TALKING AND EXPRESSING HIMSELF. nOT ONLY MORE TALKATIVE BUT IMPROVED IN BALANCE, SPEECH AND AWARNESS. HE IS 3 YRS OLD BUT TINY.

I AM getting up in the years and was in a life threating car injury and coma for 2 weeks. After a month of rehab I had to learn how too walk, dress my self eat with my left hand as i am right handed. The first major coming home celebration the kids and grand kids took me fishing. I got my limit and greatly happy I hadn't forgot how to fish. It was challenging but a great day.
